About me
Best described as “the primary school teacher’s pet gone a little rogue”
I make movies because I believe in the unique power of cinema from the heart to impact people. And not just audiences – crafting a good story can be just as meaningful for those of us behind the camera. But also, it’s good fun.
I started out by making short documentaries as a teenager, satisfying my urge to learn as much random shit as possible. In that eager spirit I also trained as a musician, a dancer, and spent my spare time designing stuff for any small business that would let me. Needless to say, the convergence of influences from these hobbies has come in real handy as a grown-up.
My filmmaking style walks the line between the profound and the absurd; grandiosity and intimacy; precision and intuition. My favourite films balance ambition and aesthetic flair with stories that remain fundamentally human and simply moving.
I grew up by the beach, but moved to Melbourne when I was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts to study a bFA - Film & Television. I graduated in 2023 with First Class Honours, and now live in London working full-time as a creative & film director for RD Content while continuing to develop a roster of personal projects.
