About me
Best described as “the primary school teacher’s pet gone a little rogue.”
Bio
I make movies because I’m obsessed with their power to change us. But also, it’s bloody good fun.
I started out by making short documentaries as a teenager, with an urge to learn as much random shit as possible. In that eager spirit I also trained as a musician, a dancer, and spent my spare time designing stuff for any small business that would let me. Needless to say, this has all come in real handy as a grown-up.
My filmmaking style walks the line between the profound and the absurd; grandiosity and intimacy; precision and intuition. My favourite films balance ambition and aesthetic flair with stories that remain fundamentally human.
I moved from my small beachside town to Melbourne after I was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts to study a BFA in Film & Television. I graduated in 2023 with First Class Honours, and now live in London working full-time as a creative & film director.
